CosmicSky Exhibition

The CosmicSky Exhibition was a collaboration between artist (and project manager) Gill Russell, astronomer Francisco Diego and poet/ storyteller Brian Hill. Funded with a grant from NESTA, The CosmicSky Exhibition, was a critically acclaimed travelling domed theatre exhibition that fused astronomy with poetry, philosophy, soundscapes and the visual arts.

The CosmicSky Theatre was a state-of-the-art digital theatre using 360 degree imagery and surround-sound. During 2005/2006, CosmicSky successfully piloted the theatre in four large-scale public venues across the UK reaching over 10,000 people. Feedback from visitors was overwhelmingly positive.

Sky-Skan, the makers of the all-sky projection technology, took over the dome in 2007.
